Privacy
The app
The app works entirely on your device. What you type or dictate, photos and camera scans of your sketches, the on-device model's reading of them, your layouts, saved projects and exports never leave your iPhone or iPad. The app has no analytics, no advertising, no tracking and no account.
Purchases are made through Apple's App Store under Apple's terms. Apple tells the app whether you own Cutsheet Pro; we do not see your payment details.
Apple Intelligence. Free-form descriptions are read by Apple's on-device model. Nothing is sent to Apple or to us for that.
Camera. Scanning a sketch uses the camera on the device only. No image is stored by the app or sent anywhere.
Link to cutsheet.ai (optional)
If you choose Settings > Link to cutsheet.ai in the app, it sends one request to our server with Apple's sign-in token for you, the name and e-mail Apple shares (which may be a private relay address), and the App Store transaction identifier of your Pro purchase. We verify both with Apple and keep: your Apple user identifier, the name and e-mail Apple provided, which Pro product you own, its purchase, expiry and refund dates, and when you linked. This is used only to show your license on cutsheet.ai. You can skip this entirely; the app does not need it.
The website
cutsheet.ai is a demo of the engine (it runs in your browser; nothing you type there is sent to us) and a page where a Pro user can sign in with Apple to see the linked license. Signing in sets a session cookie and a small marker cookie; we store the session, your Apple user identifier and the name and e-mail Apple shares. There are no advertising or analytics cookies. Our host, Cloudflare, keeps standard server logs for a short time.
Your choices
- Delete the app, and everything it stored on the device is gone with it. Your purchase stays with your Apple Account.
- Sign out on cutsheet.ai to end the session.
- To have your linked license and account removed from our server, write to privacy@cutsheet.ai from the linked e-mail. We delete it within 30 days.
- In your Apple Account settings you can stop sharing your e-mail with us or revoke Sign in with Apple for Cutsheet.
Children
Cutsheet is a tool for woodworkers and makers and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If this page changes, the effective date above changes with it.
